No EGR?

I was thinking of going to a different intake manifold and notice that alot of them don't have an egr provision on them.At present, the manifold on my car has egr and i wondered what i can expect if i get rid of it.Will i have to back off on the timing or re-jet the carb or anything like that?Is there any difference at all?I don't have any emissions worries,so that's not a factor.

you'll have to modify your ecm or get a modified ecm for proper fuel mixture control

I'm more of a fuel injection guy myself, but I doubt there will be any problems if you remove it.
