Odd noise and vibration
on my 86 Camaro, when the engine goes up in RPM's, there is a vibration, the only way I can explain what it feels like is if one of my pullies has a heavy weight attached to it, and as the RPM's go higher, that off balance pully spins faster. It happens both in park, and in drive. It just started a few days ago, and seems to be getting a bit worse. It's terrible at highway speeds (2000+ RPM constant).
The same time that vibration started, I can hear a sound coming from below me, only when I am at a stop, or rolling very slowly, but only when I am in drive, or in reverse. The only way I can explain how it sounds, is it sounds like someone is hold up a piece of sandpaper up to my drive shaft, but I'm not moving (or moving very slowly) so the drive shaft isn't even turning.
Any Idea what these could be? And if they are related? My car was doing fine up untill a few days ago when my friend and I primered my car... but I don't see how that could effect my engine.
Thanks a bunch!!

Well, if it is RPM dependent (not speed dependent) then it's definitely something from the bellhousing forward. Can't see how shooting some paint could cause this. Is the engine running smoothly otherwise (no dead-cylinder miss)?
Have you checked your harmonic dampener on the front of the motor? If it's outter ring is slipping or wobbling, you'll get a vibration. And if it has slipped far enough the outer ring can actually move backwards and start scraping against the timing chain cover (the sand paper noise).
