Ditching the factory valve rotators...

My 350 crashed but I already had a 310 in the works.

The 310 is a '90 305 from a T/A. It's getting rebuilt at the machine shop this week.

Can I use the "Vortec head" style retainers on these heads? I wouldn't see why not but I wanted to check first. The engine is going to be stock, except for the Ram Jet roller cam and the bowl blending I did on the 081 heads.

Competition Products has a valve spring kit in their catalog which is basically the retainers, springs, and keepers from the Vortec heads. Can I use those without any valve tip O-ring problems?

trash the factory rotator set up and use aftermarket. i use o ring and positive seals both, i know the o ring is pretty much worthless, but it's cheap and makes me feel better.
