Question for people with Vortec heads...
Is anyone running the Performer RPM Vortec Intake Manifold? I was wondering if it will fit under my hood. Cause I'm going to be coverting to a carb. Just wondering if I will need a cowl or not.

I'm running it under my stock 87 Z hood. It fits w/ a 1 1/2" drop base, 14"x3" airfilter on top of the Holley 750. The wingnut rubs the hood sometimes when the engine torques over so there is no room to spare. A non drop base or running a spacer w/ the drop base would not work w/ the stock hood.
I believe the height is the same between the RS and Z28 hoods, but I'm not 100% positive.
