HEI Question...

still in the middle of being lazy, and i have a question about the HEI distro in my car. it is out of a 79 monza (don't worry it's been rebuilt) and i put an Accel supercoil on it. the wires that go from the distro to the coil are in question. there are three. a dark brown, a tan, and a black wire. the question is not so much what they go to cause i believe that they go from the module to the coil if i am not mistaken. but which direction does the clip go in? black wire to the front or back? thanks guys

Should be red, tan, black. Red = coil +; tan = coil -; black = ground. These would ordinarily go from the module, to the coil in the cap; you just hook them to the appropriate terminals of the external coil.

thanks RB, your always lots of help. the only reason i was asking was because there is not markings on the wiring harness or the coil.
