Prepping a car for long term storage

I am going overseas for at least 2 months and will have to let my car sit (in the garage) while I am gone. What precautions should I take to let my car sit, besides disconnecting the battery? Is there a fuel and/or preservative I should add?

Thanks in advance.

2 months is not long-term at all. I wouldn't worry about it until it reaches about 6 months. If you think it might reach that point, it would be good to add some fuel stabilizer, and put the car on stands to avoid flat-spotting the tires.

fill the tank to the top (to prevent condensation build up),,,,if your oil change is due soon you could change it before you leave. 2months aint long at all so leaving it on the ground is fine. Mayde a car cover to keep dust off it or if it had to sty outside it would be good to keep the sun off it. You can buy fuel stabalizer anywere,,,,,but with only 2 months im not really sure its nessesary. If you got a slow leak in your tire you want to get it fixed so that when you come back you can start up the car and drive away fine instead of finding your car sitting on your rim bead and pintching your sidewall and buckleing your belts.
