Fuel Guage probs
My guage reads full until it drops to about a 1/4 tank then seems normal 'till the next fill-up. It's an '88 Formula 305, V8, 5.0. Could it be a sensor prob or a sticky float?

It's probably just your fuel sending unit. Most of the GM cars I've owned have all had that problem where they stay at full for a long time, then start to drop after a quarter tank. I would say your sending unit is just getting old. If you want to change it it's in the gas tank. Good luck.

appreciation
Thanx Quick
Sounds Logical. The car is back in OK awaiting my arrival to pick it up, start putting it back together, and move it up here to MI w/ me; so that's one of the projects I will set aside while I'm back home.
Are there any other recommendations as to servicing the car after sitting for a few years only starting it about every six months? I was wrecked by a deer back in 2000. Only body work damage to the car. I plan on changing all fluids, plugs, and wires. Would a new distributor be a good idea right off the bat as well? I do remember a slight oil burn b4 she was parked...
Thanx in advance for all pointers and tips
