Hey guys i really need help bad, i have an 87 iroc, 305 4bbl. at first my car would just do this everyonce in a while, but now its doin it all the time, if i drive it for a while, then go to where i got to go and turn it off, when i go back to leave it wont start, then i have to wait a while then it will start back up. but when it runs it runs fine, it seems like its getting gas, but no spark, im about to go buy a ingniton module, what do u think it could be, thanks

 

first you need to determine if you are lacking spark or fuel. I assume your engine turns over right. I would say it would be fuel related rather than ignition related.

 

If you have a bad ignition module, it's all or none. If it's bad, your car will not start at all period. When it doesn't start, does the starter turn the engine over, or does it do absolutely nothing?
