I need a chrome dipstick and tube for my 305, the dipstick on my motor is mounted down low on the block right near where the oil pan bolts to. every tube I can find is made to go on a motor where it mounts up high near where the heads bolt on.

what gives??? do I have a odd-ball motor or what.

the motor is a '85 if that matters.

 

no it isnt an oddball. Just the pass side dipstick. The older model chevys had a driver side dipstick which was much shorter. I think its a better design...id rather have that instead of the long ones we have.

Anyone know if they sell the flexible dipsticks for pass side oil dipsticks? Im getting ready to get one of the flexible tranny dipsticks since i cant get the new tube i have to seat right.
