ticking noise?

i noticed this a few weeks ago and just thought i had a leaky manifold. well today when i was looking it over before i took it for inspection (passed) it sounded like it was coming from somewhere around the tpi. i was thinking it might possibly be a fuel injector. it has been running kinda crappy lately but i thought it was just from my maf. but could it be a bad fuel injector?

Take a piece of hose and put it in your ear, then move the other end around to make a stethoscope. This will help you isolate the noise. It may be a bad injector. It could also be a rocker arm rattling. You need to figure out which. The valve lash isn't that hard to fix if it just has gotten out of spec. This little trick should help you narrow down the noise source.
