Felpro gasket set differences w/i years
I went to the Jefferson auto meet on Saturday. Some dude named Huey sold me a complete engine gasket set for my rebuild project claiming that it was 86+ sbc 350. After looking up the part number when I got home I found the kit to be for a 57-73 350. How many of the gaskets am I not going to be able to use? Would I be better off leaving it sealed and selling it and buying the correct set?

Everything to do with the oil pan and rear main seal in that kit is different from what you need.
It's the same as 74-85, exxcept for the front oil pan seal. But you have the 1-piece RMS so all of that is wrong.
Sell it, or trade it for what you need.

So if I were to actually use it I would need new vc gaskets, pan gasket, and RMS? heads, intake, fp blockoff, and everything else will work?
