Does anyone know the flow data on these heads? I've done tons of searches and I can find anything but

I'm woundering because I know a guy that is selling his for $120 and I want to know if it is worth it. I have 882 heads on the car now.

 

They are typical old double-hump heads. THey flow a ton better than 882s. IIRC they have the accessory bolt holes, so you can acutally install them in your car.

For $120, they're not a bad deal, if they're not in total need of everything. Things to look for include: set up for screw-in studs and guide plates, which should include accommodating 1.6 rockers; are they cut for bigger springs; are they set up for better valve guide seals; what valves are in them; what port work have they had; what hardware comes with them.

I would not particularly advise spending wads of money on them though; like any old stock casting, by the time you have them all worked up, you'll have almost as much money into them as a good set of new aftermarket heads that will considerably outperform them.

Whether they're a good deal for you depends on what you intend to do with them, as well as what's been done to them.

 

I don't intend on doing much with them. I just want something that will flow better and raise my compression. RB83L69, you don't so happen to know if they well work with my Headman shorty headers?
