I thought i had all the parts i needed...but i just realized i need the part that bolts to the bottom of the radiator,not the long wide band that p/n is 10118485.Its a triangular part that bolts to the bottom of the radiator and the band then bolts to the triangular peice its an 89 formula by the way,thanks in advance
i will let you know in a few days, i did the same thing orded the long plastic peice and didnt realize thats all it was , i need the piece that ya talking about so i went back up to the dealer and he coundnt find it in his computer but he ordered me something close we are hoping its what i need, i allso heard someone say they only make the replacement parts in one piece , anycase i let ya know

They don't make the same airdam that is on your car, the new part they sell is a one piece unit that bolts right under the radiator. My TA had the same thing you are describing, I had the part under the rad, but not the scoop part that points to the ground.
The kit with all 3 parts, the center and the left and right dams, cost $24 at the pontiac dealer.

Guys, be aware that even on one model the 86 T/A, there are 3 different air dam numbers for one piece, not even counting the other two pieces. You mention left/right, my 86 T/A doesn't even have that setup.
I have one piece that bolts to the radiator and one piece that runs the width of the car, I added a third piece that sits under the nose cone even though my car didn't come with it.
I have some part numbers for the 86 T/A on my site below, may be some of the same for other models.
