Port Job

can anyone give me any sort of numbers of differences in stock heads and the different levels of ported heads ?... would I be wasting my money to get a MAJOR port job on a pair of heads ?... DOES IT MAKE THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE IN POWER, in other words... would it be worth investing the money in the heads for power.. OR using the money for other parts of the car ?? (the heads are NEW 87-up GM performance castings,58cc with 1.94/1.6 valves,(custom cut exhaust) (3 angle valve job) .520 lift springs, slight bowl blend, I will be using this on a 305 (I know... "don't waste money on a 305" blah blah blah),, BUT I'M USING THE 305, so what should I do about the heads... if it makes any difference... I'm using an LT1 cam, headers, and a SUPER UPGRADED TBI and intake manifold,
Thanks guys

Also follow the link in Sitting Bulls sig....Port work is VERY expensive...4-$600 just for a basic street/strip job....you can do the work yourself! Check it out.
