How do i hook up a toggle switch to the fan?

where is the relay some say it is by the battery and some say the firewall. the wires from the fan go by the battery to a little boc i assume is the relay. What wires do i splice into? then all i do is ground it right?

a good friend of mine taught me this sweet trick. disconnect your a/c plug and it acts as a by pass. turn on ur ac, and ur fan will run full time. its what i do. i run under 160 all the time now it acts as a switch, of course if your one of those kids who NEED air, well then, pfft! hehe, its a nice little trick and theirs no drilling or wiring of any sort. just turn on ur air and then the fan will go on and ur air will stay off! have phun! thx nelson! Platinum,

Why did you abandon your previous post made several hours ago re same subject? Thought you understood wiring from numerous (!) previous posts.

Please re-visit your original post re fan hook up. It should be clear.

On my 91 Camaro, the right fan (relay closest to passenger side, both mounted to firewall on drivers side) is turned on by grounding the grey wire. To turn on the left fan, simply grounding the green/white wire on the relay closest to the left fender will activate the relay/turn on the fan.

As someone posted on the other thread, simply splicing into one of those wires and switching to ground will turn on the fan. Splice into both wires and use two switches if you want to control two fans.
