Transmission: 700-R4 Auto

Oil gauge

My oil gauge is totally broken. It doesnt even move. Its at the posistion where the car would be off. At the bottom of the gauge. So whats wrong with my oil gauge? (Not oil pressure gauge.) Any way where I could test it to see whats wrong with it? Or the sending unit bad? Just let me know where the locations are for the oil gauge sending unit. Thanks.
