Ok this is my third camaro to add to the list I bought a 84 sports coupe that was a one owner and lady owned I know its history cause it has been in the family the oil was changed every 3000 miles and well taken care of it is a 305 with 4bb carb it has 189,000 miles on it I was wondering how much life could be left in the car with this mileage if you drive it normal and what was the first year of that peanut cam?

I think that cam showed up in 1977 along with the 305, 189,000 is rather high, although miles dont mean anything if the car has been maintained.

 

I know the person who bouhgt the car new for there daughter for graduation and it was well taken care of I was going to use it for a daily driver and have never had this many miles on a 305 before.

 

Morgan is right, if the car is well maintained, the miles dont mean ****! How does the car run? If you keep it as a daily driver and drive it like the lady did before hand than you should have a car thats going to last a long while, keep your foot out of the gas and you'll be fine.
