I dont know if I need to replace my oxygen sensor or not. But Im going to replace it anyways. Where is it located and what does it look like? Do I need any special tools?

it look sort of like a spark plug in the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe. you ought to have a O2 senser socket, but you might be able to get by wit ha wrench or regular socket. you might want to research what it is and what it does before you go throwing parts at it. do you even have a problem you're trying to cure?

If it has never been replaced, or if you don't know the history of it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to put in a new one. It's a FACT that after time and usage the sensor won't respond as quickly as it should. In order for the computer to maintain proper fuel control, the Oxygen sensor needs to be responding well. It is a maintanence item, just like spark plugs!

The sensor should be in the driver's side manifold, or in the y-pipe just below it. A 7/8 wrench will work for them most of the time.

Good luck!
