That was good contest. I have to say that I take some pride in the fact that I can and have built a motor that would come very close to the results of the last place qualifier.

Sounds kinda like I'm claiming to be the tallest midget.... but when you consider these guys are PROS (mostly) and I build stuff in my garage when I'm not busy mowing the lawn or balancing the checkbook maybe you understand why I feel kinda stoked. They get some sick numbers.

But 600+ HP????? No way. Not in a million years from me. That's nutso numbers. Sombody's sold their soul for a number like that.

i just read the text in the mag,, it seems to confirm something Ive thought for a long time about the westech dyno.. the results were consisently higher for motors that originated from the west coast. More than 6 percent in somecases. They even acknowledge that correction factors do not cover higher output of the "west coast" builders. They attribute it to the just the better air.

i find it difficult to believe that is the only issue.. they should take some of the higher westcoast motors to a east coast or the comp dyno cell
