1.6 roller rocker ok with stock push rods?

I 've had the LT4 hot cam kit for about 3 years havent had time to put it in. So I thought I would put the roller rocker in with the springs But can remember if the stock push rods will work thanks for any info.

I just put in Crane Gold 1.6's. Had to use a shorter pushrod to keep the correct geometry. I think it was about .050 shorter.

Shorter? You must have milled the head bosses lower than 0.200" or have different heads?

99.999% of the time you don't have to change them. The reason you would need to change the push rods has to do with changing the cam. As long as the cam is the same, and the rockers are made to stock specs as far as the height of the push rod seat, then the push rods will not need to change.

I agree with vader. I put the stamped steel 1.6 roller rockers (think they were the crane gold series) and my vlave guies went bad after 10K miles. I even used a push rod checker for the correct geometry and it verified good with a .050 shorter push rod.

so what do you need to do if you use 1.5 roller rockers with a aftermarket cam.
