My pass side rear end is making crackling sound's on slow take off and braking coming to a stop. I checked the sway bar link's and they are ok. If anyone has had similar problem's I would really appriciate your input!! It really sound's like something broke!!

There are many possibilities.
It could be as little as a loose wheel. You may have a bearing failure, with possible axle damage. It could be a hanging brake, loose tire on the wheel, differential side gear, or even tire damage.
I had a set of radials that slipped the reinforcement belts, and the resultant noise sounded like a failed wheel bearing. After new bearings, seals, and brakes, I finally installed some spare wheels/tires, and the noise disappeared. Reinstalling the tires confirmed the problem, and I haven't owned a set of Michelin tires since. (Goofy Frenchies).
What axle/brakes do you have? If you raise the rear axle, chock the fronts, and run the engine at idle (in gear) does the noise still occur?

when radials first came out, or shortly after my grandpa had same thing happen with michelin radial tire on a comapaney car he had. never bought michelin ( or sears i hear are also michelin) again and he got me to not trusting them. after working for goodyear they became my first choice for name brand tires.
