Yet another 4th gen seat question.
OK. I just bought a a set of very nice 4th gen seats (from a 94 Z). I know the fronts will fit, and the rears bottoms will fit also, but what about the rear seatback? I have split seats in the rear of my 92 RS now, and the seats I bought are not split, it is one solid piece. If you have done the swap before, did you run into any problems with this? Thanks.
There is a hinge pin in the center of your split seats. You should remove that part. It is just tack welded to the tunnel of your car. I used a chisel to pop it off but be careful not to rip a hole on the transmission tunnel.
You really dont even have to remove the pin. The seat back fits fine with it there. That way, if you ever change cars, you can put the original seats back.
