Transmission: 700-R4 Automatic
Axle/Gears: 7.5 disc posi 3.23
TIMING QUESTION??
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT THE BEST TIMING SETTING FOR YOUR ENGINE IS? IS THERE A UNIVERSAL SETTING FOR OUR SETUPS. ALSO HOW DOES OCTANE RATING EFFECT THIS.ALSO IS IT TRUE THAT IF YOUR ENGIE RUNS COOLER YOU CAN RUN A LOWER GRADE OCTANE.

one way is to use a vacumn gage and time the engine to make the most vacumn. another way would be to use an air/fuel gage. playing with timing and makeing passes down the drag strip to see what gives best MPH.
