rear ???

I was just curious, I have a 10 bolt posi in my totalled 89 Formula(rearended) when I got hit it must've tweaked the rear cover(leaking)car was humming like crazy, exhaust was hanging on the rear so I didn't pay much attention to it. Teeth broke off the ring gear--Is this rear worth saving? How much would it cost to fix and what would I have to do?? Thanks in advance!!

Well, to be honest with you, a collision that causes problems internally in your rear axle sounds like it should probably be replaced because the housing is more than likely tweaked and a 10bolt really isn't worth spending that much money on compared to the cost of another one to replace it with.

That's what I thought, just wanted to get someone's opinion on it.
Thanks.
