Are these available?
Are these available?
I thought this would be the best place to post this question:
On some high performance fuel injected cars you can do away with the intake manifold and replace it with direct to head throttle bodies with individual air horns.
Is this system available or even possible for V8 thirdgen engines? or also any V8?
In theory it would be very effective at producing power and would save a lot of weight.

i believe what you are looking for can be found here www.kinsler.com
they make some pretty good stuff.
a question like this would be better suited on the tech/general engine board.
now if you put the throttle bodies right on the intake runners, you are going to get gobs of high end power, but you are going to sacrifice low end torque.
the V8 in thirdgen camaros is just the plain run of the mill small block chevy. anything you could ever possibly dream of doing to an engine, there is a good chance somebody has already tried it on a small block chevy. it is a 48 year old design after all. some good ole' american engineering.
good luck, and keep us posted
