got my hooker headers on and i had to take off the a i r system and the EFE. i got a cat but will the 2 make me fail emmissions. i dont know how strict ILLINOIS tests are.

Give a random garage (not the state) a call and ask him about emissions testing. Maybe your state has a web page about it? NJ put up a web page for their new emissions test, altho admittedly it was more of a promotion for idiots ("This test will make your air cleaner for your pets & children")... nevermind all the SuperFund Toxic Waste Cleanup sites, of course. Lets get those polluting cars off the road first!!! (sigh)

I don't think the absent EFE grid will affect anything; IIRC it's just on when the car's warming up anyway.
