Coolant leaking into interior (Could it be something besides the core?)

Hi, I'm 99% sure it's the core...but just wanted to ask...the coolant is leaking onto the floor on BOTH sides of the car from above and behind the stereo housing. Without me going out and removing the trim panel, etc., can anyone tell me if its possible it could be something other than the core, or is it a pretty cut-and-dry case of yet another broken heater core?

preety much the only thing it could be is the core, that's the
only part of the cooling system that actually goes past the firewall.

How often do you change your coolant fluid? how many cores
have busted in the past two years or so?

If you've replaced your core more than once in the past year
or two, I would suggest a full coolant flush, that stuff turns
acidic after a while, and will eat through certian metals.

That's the heater core or one of the lines going to it. The only coolant that goes through the interior of the car goes to the core. Have fun replacing it! Hopefully mine won't fail anytime soon.

Thank you. The core has lasted quite a few years. I had my engine rebuilt not less than 3 months ago, and had all-new heater hoses put on along with a new thermostat not more than 9 months ago. It BETTER have been flushed both times

Thanks again.

Ive foud more times then not when the coolant system has been flushed theres more of a possibility for the heater core to start leaking, All the little crud partcals are freed and they are actually keeping the heater core from leaking. Blame the previous owner for lack of maintence.
