Smog pump pully removal question?

How do you get the pulley to stay still while you remove the 3-10mm bolts holding it on. I have a 88 Iroc 305 TPI.

leave the belt on and stick a prybar between the alternator fan and bracket

Find an idiot (I chose my Dad...hahah) to hold the pully for ya while you crank on the bolts with a wrench.

Any harm you cause to the idiot...is strictly accidental
