Is this a sign of losing compression?

When I shut off my car, it isn't nearly as abrupt a shutoff as it used to be. When I first got the car, and the key was turned off it stopped instantly, but now it shuts off and you still hear things in the engine moving for about a second. It isnt much but it's making me wonder. It DOES shut off, and runs fine, its just strange.

check your tune up. look for dirt or build up in your carb/tbi or what ever you have. look at your iac and tps.
