While back, I got a code 54 (low fuel pump voltage), nothing seemed wrong. Lately, when I'm driving, the car will lose almost all power and stall out if I mash the throttle then die. Fuel pump is less than 2 years old. Think it's the relay? If I try to start it right after it dies, it'll carnk and try and sputter and die. If I wait 5-10 minutes, it'll fire right up and make it another few miles before doin it again. It's not a frequent occurance, but it's still there.

That sounds like a bad fuel pump, but it could be the relay. Maybe a bad connection somewhere..

Where are the connections? Tell me there isn't one bolted to the starter solenoid. Yup, bet there is huh. Grounded out a wire there, had to replace the fusible link. But that might have screwed up the relay ya think?

 

OK...new news. Whenever it stalls on me, and I get it started and try to go forward, my car says "Sputter, sputter, GAG" ok ok, it just sputters and dies. However, if I put it in reverse, the thing runs fine, had to drive 3 miles home in reverse yesterday.
