HOrribal takeoff

ok i have a 88 camaro 305tpi. if it is going about 35-40mph and step on it, it kiks you back and takes off. but if it is stopped or under 10mph, and yo ufloor it it stubles like hell and flys away after about 25-30mph

the mods are in the sig, it has a brand new timing chain, timeing @6BTDC, new plugs gapped @45 (stock is 35 but i have the accell coul and msd6a sh oit should be good right??)
the rear is a 2.73:1 (now i know thats high but it usto take off mutch better and burn the tires all day, i cant even chirpthem now) its a stock 700r4 and the tires are 235x60R-15 firestone firehawk SS20 all around

my car always liked 12 deg of timing the best. 6 sounds low to me. bump it up and you should feel the difference. not implying that your an idiot but a common mistake is people forget to warm up the car to operating temp cut off, then disconnect the est, then start and set timing, then shut off and reconnect the est. like i said not calling you dense just going over the basics.
if you dont warm it up or disconnect the est your computer goes nuts trying to compensate for the change.

hope this helps

alot more diagnosis goes into solving a problem like this than going with the given info. i'd check fuel pressure, timing including advance curve, and maybe a check for a vacuum leak. never have seen a 305 tpi that would burn the tires as you've said especially with 2.73 gears. must be one of the special one's........

well whati ment was it could spinn them on demand, not burnthem to nothing, but it would do it w/o holding the brake to let the engine's rpm's raise, but basically squeel them on call. now it depends on the traction. the car has 118k on it, just about every sensor (is the original (pickup coil, anything to do w/ spark , hence my idea of the advance) now it responds verry well and fast under no load (park and nuetral) but in gear its as i said. now...is there a way to tell if the spark curve is not advancing as it should w/o something like autoxray?... and i was thinking to replace the pickup coil and the other moduel on the distributer (just under the pickup col and it has 2 plugs.
