code 32 question

After driving about two hours on the highway today the service engine light came on. It stayed on for about two minutes and then went off. About twenty minutes later it did the same thing and shut off. And it hasn't come on again. Got home and checked to see if there were any codes and there was a 32. I looked it up and it says EGR failure. It seems to be running fine. Where do I start to fix this problem?
Thanks

read the tech article on this site. i had the same problem with code 32 on the highway. went thru a diagnostic flowchart doing some tests and it turned out to be a bad solenoid. i put one on and no more SES light.

do a search for EGR on this forum. there is a chart that you follow to test each component. if you have a TPI the solenoid will be next to the distributor on the passenger side. will have 2 vacuum lines going to it.
