Power steering????
Anybody know where to get the fitting to change from the metric power steering pump to the old style Saginaw pumps?
they're not hard to find. i think i got one at NAPA store. before i knew there were adabters to do it with i cut and reflared a old hose and then cut the metric hose and flared it and used a coupler to screw the 2 new flare nuts in. took a while to do and if i didn't have some old PS hoses laying around wouldn't of been cheap.
SM,
If NAPA can't help you out, try your local industrial suppliers. More than one is likely to stock hydraulic and pneumatic fittings. I have been able to repair many such problems using standard parts, including the pressure hoses on steering pumps, oil cooler hoses, and transmission hoses. Both Hoffman and Parker-Hannifin manufacture a variety of fittings that make such repairs and conversions easy, though Parker-Hannifin has a much larger variety.
