o2 sensor location
I have Hedman longtube headers on my car, I did not have an o2 sensor bung put on the header before I installed them. I also have a custom made Y-pipe, can I just have the o2 bung put onto the Y-pipe right behind where it connects to the header instead of putting it in the header? The reason I ask is because the Y-pipe is currently off the car and it would be easier to take it somewhere and have it welded to the Y-pipe than either dropping the header back out or trying to get it in the header with it on the car. I already have the connector to run a heated o2 sensor so I would think it would be fine. Another question, if the o2 sensor requires a special o2 extention wire, how do I go about hooking the wire from the heated o2 sensor connector to the original o2 wire? The connector just has three wires coming off of it with bare ends.
Thanks
