I just put new Accel 8.8 wires, Accel coil, Accel ignition module, Accel cap, and an Accel rotor on my car. While rooting around under that engine, I think I may have broken the top of my knock sensor off! I now see a black or possible very dark blue wire leading to a plastic disc about the size of a dime that is lying on the passenger side of the K-member. When I started the car it idled a little rough although it did start right away. There was a noticeable loss of power, and it felt like a rough acceleration compared to before the upgrades. Did I jack up the knock sensor and if broken like I said will it retard the timing and cause the rough running condition?

btw: she's an '89 IROC 5.7L
