rough start.......all clear after 3k rpms
Ok, I just got my IROC about 2 weeks ago. Its a 1985 with a 305 TPI. This is the problem.
It starts and it idles normal for a minute or so......then it starts to idle extremely rough. It contiunes this roughness all the way up to 3 grand. At 3000 rpms the car seems to come back to life. From 500 to 3000 rpms the car feels dead. We checked the fuel pressure and fuel pump relay. All clear. The car had a new fuel pump put in about a week before I got it.
Any suggestions? It through a code 42, but this was after we had checked the timing...... so we had to disconnect the timing bypass connector, which trips this code. Thanks
