For those with the Edelbrock base

I just got mine today and I got intake gaskets too and it seems the driverside gasket fits perfect while the passenger side doesnt match up as nice seems the gasket bolt holes are like a 16th behind the hole. Should I trim the gaskets?

Also looking over it I seem to dislike a few things. First off the ports going to the heads are not perfectly Rectangular seems a few of the cornors are just no round. Should I grind some of it away and also do I use the EGR block off plate provided?

put the blockoff plate on with gasket sealer underneath it .. also get a 1/8inch pipe plug to plug up the hole on the back left of the intake. also there are washers that come with the intake, these are used underneath the back left 2 bolts that hold down the piece of metal that holds the coil. also use thread sealer on all the bolts.
hope this info helps.
