Gauge swap, only some work
Will guages out of an 89 Camaro work properly in an 83Z28 gauge cluster? I'm asking because this is what I tried. But the temp gauge rockets past redline within a minute of starting a cold engine, and the batt. gauge is just dead. The tach and oil press. seem to be fine. Thanks,

Apparently not. The speedo won't work, for sure.
I have the cluster from a 87 IROC in my 83, works fine. I'd suggest trading yours for that model instead. Just swap the whole cluster, it's a direct drop-in.
