Checking codes and fan comes on?

I put the jumper in to read the codes off of my car and the rad cooling fan comes on? Is this right or is this kinda pointing to a bad wiring issue?
Let me know what you think.. At the moment I get code 33 and 34 off of my ecm. The car has a rough time when cold and occasionally just stalls out.

The fans should come on when you jump A & B, so you are OK there.
