Vette valve cover questions.

I was thinking about putting the set of L98 Vette valve covers I have onto the chicken motor but as they are right now they need a serious cleanup and the emblem. I got a set of chrome mr. gasket's on the engine since it was a 305 and I fixed the valve seals.
Anyhow, so I go to the Chevy dealer down the road just now at lunch and ask about the emblem and pn 14087417 is over $50 !!! So does anybody know another source at a more reasonable price?
Also what color paint matches what it's supposed to be for a Vette motor? Mine are so filthy I don't know what they were to begin with. They don't look like the kind that could actually polish out and look good to me but I'm interested if anybody else has put on Vette valve covers.
