AFR's and performer intake

my uncle is setting up a 350 in his camaro..he needs to keep the edelbrock performer intake for the egr stuff (we live in the peoples republic of california where "the man" will inspect your car).

it's got stock smogger heads on it, so they gotta go.

we're thinking AFR 190's.

Anyone mated up a perfomer intake to AFR 190's? I know the performer rpm is better but we must stay with EGR and it must be stock looking (no corvette style EGR).

any input is appreciated......

I don't think "the man" will ever know if you port the hell out of the intake to match. I'm not tellin'...

I don't think AFR 190s are going to have the exhaust crossover ports cast into them, so your EGR won't be functional without exhaust to feed to the engine's induction. It will look good though, if smog stuff ever looks good.

I'm running a Performer and Performer RPM heads. Yeah, there is a mismatch with port sizes, but it's the 'right' way around - that is to say the cylinder head port is larger than the intake's port. It's not the end of the world as some people would believe.
