I have big problems with the way my Iroc is running. okay, new parts are as follows. TPS, wires, coil, plugs, cap, rotor, fuel pump relay, all filters other than fuel, all new lubricants and fluids, and the knock sensor.

My problem is when I come to a stop, about every 5th time, my car stalls out or the rpms drop to about 120 and back up to 1100. I know my timing is set correctly by specs in the chilton's manual. the car also keeps bringing up a code 43 which is knock sensor by my book and that is new. also, while I am driving sometimes at 55, the rpms and power will drop dramatically for a split second and seem like the car stalled and started without me using the key.

Every time the car reads code 43, it seems to run better. it doesn't quit when the ses light is on, but as soon as I clear the ecm, it stalls out again. it's really starting to **** me off, so i hope someone can help me out.

 

No one? just my luck, I'm out of ideas too.

 

Plug a 10K resistor in place of the knock sensor. Drive and see if that eliminates the problem, but listen carefully for detonation and be prepared to get out of the throttle if it starts to knock.

 

I think I'm scared to do that. I really don't have good reaction to things like that. I get pissed real easy.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
