how hard is it to install roller rocker arms?

how hard is it to install roller rocker arms?

i wanna get the crane or gm self aligning 1.6 roller rocker arms. is it just takin off the valve covers and unbolting the old ones and the new ones on.. or is there something more complicated to it? any info is appreciated.

pretty sure you have to tinker with them a little...adjust em n such. not sure...never done it b4. i want to know too

Nope, Its that easy. Take of the old ones and put on the new ones! Of course they need to be adjusted a little.

It really isn't that bad...
1)Remove the valve covers (easy)
2)Remove the old rocker arms (easy)
3)Put the new rocker arms on (easy)
4)Adjust the valve lash on the new arms (not so easy)
5)Put the valve covers back on (easy)
6)Go Go Go

Adjusting the Valve Lash is by far the hardest part (and it really isn't very hard either). You have to turn the engine over by hand to certain valve-train events and tighten a certain arm on a certain cylinder a certain amount. The Best Damn Garage on the Net Has a tech article describing the process in detail. I'll let you check it out for yourself.
