Help me think what next!

Quick story! 1987 Camaro 2.8L mpfi. Car died three weeks ago, pushed it tore my jeans in half, tore calf muscle, walked mile home, opened door stepped in dog ****. Actually the above is a story of its own. Towed car home and began testing. Spark from coil but appeared weak, no spark at plug! replaced coil, spark plugs, pickup coil, ignition module( generic ). Car started code 42 est. rechecked everything reset computer code 42. Took the module to have it tested, and it failed. New module #2 cars great, ran about 8km and car started lurching stumbling and stalling. Then just would not start. Check everything again, code 42 (est) and 34 (maf). Replace ignition module after talking to race shop. Their suggestion was a make called Bluestreak. They said its ten times better than generic. They didn't even carry that product and said go back to the shop I bought the generic one at because they carry it but don't offer it to their customers.
Car starts great now and accelerates like a champ but will not idle. Misses at idle then stalls. Any suggestions guys? No error codes! IAC, timing what do you guys think. I must mention my timing gun crapped out at the same time as my car. I need a new one. I have an 81 Z28 Camaro that is my savior and this 87 is my winter car. 81 has none of this computer sh#t and is a blast to drive. Idle is set easy and if it dies it is easy to get going again, although it never has!

Please dont tell me ignition module again! It woluld be the fourth right now.

Ya I kind of know I need to check timing, gotta pony up the coin for that. You would think the first timing gun I bought for $30.00 would of lasted forever though. Anyway cap and rotor are also new so I can only imagine plug wires causing the problem. I would think that would happen throughout the driving range though. In regards to est wire, would that not show up as an error code if not connected? Just a question I have no idea?
