99 Silverado 5.3 Fuel Psi

Hay all I was wondering if you could help me a little here. I can't seem to find any info on the ls1 BBS. Does any one know the stock fuel pressure setting for the LS1 trucks. I keep chasing the code 172&175. I know its not 3rd gen related but I can't get back to playing with my camaros until this is gone.....I am getting 52lb now.

Thanks so much

It is very possible this post is going to be deleted. Well before that happens I recently read a TSB about the late model trucks with a no start condition. Apparently they are very sensitive to fuel pressure. Something like only 5psi short of where it should be and they may not start. I cant remember the specifcs and I don't know if any codes are set. I will look into at work on Monday and if the post is still open and you have not recieved a definite answer, I'll PM you my findings...

I appreciate you checking in to that. I can't quite get this right. I am getting a rich condition on my rear O2 sensor. On the OBD2 site they told me to check for a leaking injector......I Did and It was fine.......clean the MAS wires did that and still got the code. Net was check for fuel pressure too high.....did that but can't find where there is anything to tell me what the stock pressure is to compare it to. Thats why I came here. I was hoping one of my 3rd gen brothers would have something listed to show me some numbers. The LS1 truck site just does not have that much inside knowledge of EFI

Thanks
Brian

have you checked the fuel pressure regulator? we've had more than a few of them leaking fuel into the vacuum line. any other info on the problem, i might be able to help more.

58 PSIG, ± 2 PSIG stock. LS1-family engines tend to run on the rich side, so a pound or two low isn't a really bad thing, but from my limited understanding, you need at least 55 to overcome the injector checks and deliver any fuel.

And this isn't really ThirdGen tech unless you're mounting an LS1 between older fenders.
