TPI fuel pump/pressure question

I have problems with my car starting. It takes a few trys till it starts. I heard there's suppposed to be a check valve in the fuel system to keep pressure up. I have a feeling this is the problem. Is the check valve part of the fuel pump or is it a separate part. I'd hate to have to drop the tank if I don't have to, esspecially since I just changed the pump a little over a year ago.

The check valve is a part of the pump, sorry. If you have a pressure guage you can pinpoint if it really is the heckvalve or other component in the tank.

It could be the pump itself, it could be leaking injectors, it could be a bad regulator.

Get a fuel pressure gauge and check the bleed down.
