Heating/Air Conditioning System

Now that it is getting cold, I started to use my heating system more in the morning, the problem is that it that ages to warm up. This morning I sat in the car for about 5 mins, but it still hadn't warmed up at all.

Is this normal ? How long should the heating system take to warm up ? and if this is not normal then how can I go about fixing this ?

Also I haven't got a heated rear windscreen, do I have the wriring hareness necessary to fit one. I assume that if I want to do this, then I'll have to replace the rear screen as well.

Any help or guidance would be great.

My car usually takes about 10 minutes to warm up. Sitting in the driveway doesn't do it either.
