Odd jerking
Odd jerking
Ok so sometimes when I am driving in the parking lot and I just let 1st gear slow me down I get to a point where it starts jerking. Now the RPM go no where near idle and there is no reason for the engine to be choking. Also when the car is first driven for the 1st 5-10 minutes the car gets this power, no power, then power again kinda feel which also feels like a forward -backward motion. Any ideas?

350,
I have a similar situation on a 350 with some extra cam lift. The IAC is trying to maintain idle speed under a light load and is "hunting" above and below the target speed. Lugging the engine in that manner can be tough, since oil pressure can be fairly low and piston/rod loads can peak pretty high. You might not be near idle, but the IAC is probably still active since the throttle is fully closed.
