Entire car torques over when I rev...

This is in regards to the '89 IROC in the signature...

If I've got the transmission park and I rev the engine up quickly--even to just 2500 RPM--the whole car torques/rotates slightly.

This really doesn't bother me (nor do I often rev my engine for no reason), but I'm just curious if anybody else notices this. I was thinking it might be indicative of a motor-mount or suspension issue, but I'm not sure...

Thanks

Put on some subframe connectors.

some movement it expected... lift your hood and watch your engine... if it moves alot then you have a bad motor mount... if it was a bad tranny mount then the tranny would hit the floor under the center console...

jfreeman74: Please don't say that . I just went through hell getting my Spohn SFCs installed, so if they're not improving rigidity, then I've got some serious problems.

cooch-88formula: The engine does torque a bit in the engine bay, but so does the rest of the car, ever so slightly. The motor mounts are new, standard OEM replacement (i.e. they're not solid or polyurethane).

It sounds like it's normal and you shouldn't worry... but if you REALLY don't like it Then put it a honda motor... They don't have enough torque to break loose the lug nuts on my car....

mine seems to do the same thing. motor mounts and tranny mount are all good. must be the all mighty torque

My car does this too, but I have to give it a decent rev, about 3,000rpm. Gets there awfully quick in nuetral. ^_^
