Quick Qu about a Diagnostic Scan

Does a shot catalytic convertor show up on an electronic Diagnostic Scan? Dealer says mine is gone and I'm getting a scope done this morning, I want to be sure it will show up.
Thanks

no, or not directly but it could make some of the info on the scanner indicate a bad cat. more reliable test would be back preasure or even temp readings.
